Slushii made his debut at electric venue New City Gas this past Saturday. A sold-out show was proof that Montrealers were fired up to welcome the 20-year-old prodigy.
Before Slushii mixed some jams, fellow OWSLA producer DJ Sliink warmed up the crowd. The attendees loved the powerful beats from the New Jersey producer, who left the guests ready to receive the main act.
This show was part of Slushii’s “Out of Light” tour, which has been extremely successful as his popularity has been rising this year. He even remixed pop princess, Ariana Grande’s hit song Side to Side. His success doesn’t come as a surprise, as he transmits his incredible energy to the audience. People were headbanging and jumping from left to the right to the rhythm of the bass.
Fans went crazy when he dropped some of Skrillex’s classics and of course, some of his own productions such as Twinbow and Dear Me. This will definitely be one of Montreal dance music’s most talked about nights.
